Your Welcoming Neighbor

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a community of people united by a common faith in Christ, providing a source of peace and hope in our world. We are part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA), serving the Palos Heights community and the surrounding Chicagoland area for over 65 years.

Through God’s fullest expression of love, Jesus Christ, we strive to nurture and share this gift through word and action, impacting our community and the lives of all with hope and comfort. Our congregation has dedicated members who exhibit gratitude for God’s blessings and excitement for future possibilities. We extend our warmth to you to grow in faith together while spreading LOVE in our world for one another.

Good Shepherd is Giving Thanks for Years of Musical Service

Since 1986, Cindy Gansel has been the lead organist at Good Shepherd. We've been blessed by her sharing her gifts all these years. As she begins retirement, we will express our appreciation and thankfulness during our services on May 19.

Donna Choquette has led our youngest Cherub Choir for the last 19 years. During that time, she's touched numerous young people not only with the joy of singing but also the love of God. We'll be recognizing her during our 11 am service on May 5 as she steps away from this wonderful position with a legacy of fun, joy and grace.

We're so thankful for both Cindy and Donna not only for their years of service but also for what they have and continue to mean to the Good Shepherd community. They will still be around. We look forward to sharing some news about the future of those positions very soon.
